FAQs

The CDMi 2402 is designed for high-speed Capacitor Discharge stud welding on thin sheet metal, making it suitable for electrical enclosures, HVAC equipment, automotive components, appliances, and OEM manufacturing.

Yes. The CDMi 2402 supports CD stud welding on mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and brass, depending on the welding application and compatible studs.

The CDMi 2402 uses inverter-capacitor charging technology to recharge capacitors more efficiently, reducing energy consumption while supporting faster production cycles and consistent welding performance.

Yes. The CDMi 2402 is automation-ready and includes process monitoring, an LCD interface, and RS-232 communication for integration into automated stud welding systems.

The CDMi 2402 can weld up to 40 studs per minute on M3 studs, with production speeds varying based on stud diameter, charging voltage, and application.

Choose the CDMi 2402 for thin sheet metal, minimal backside marking, and high-speed production. Arc stud welders are generally better suited for thicker materials and heavy structural applications.
