Stud Welder Rental Frequently Asked Questions

How do I select the proper stud welder for my job?

To determine the best stud welder for your job, you will need to provide information regarding your application, diameter of the stud, base material and thickness, and number of studs to be welded. Generally, with that information we can determine the type of stud welder that is best suited for your job.

What is included in your rental equipment?

Rental Equipment includes a complete system: the stud welding unit, gun, cables and ground cable. Each stud welder is tested prior to leaving our facility to insure that the equipment is operating perfectly.

Is there anything else I will need?

Yes. There are small accessories needed depending on the type of stud you are welding and the application. These are considered consumables and are in addition to the rental equipment.

How do you charge for equipment?

We rent welding equipment by the day, week, or month. Depending on the size of your job, choose which period of time is best for you.

Do you give a lesson on how to operate the equipment?

We absolutely can instruct you on how to use the stud welder. In fact, we want to make sure that you are comfortable with the machine. So, if you are picking up at our facility, our experienced sales staff and/or technicians can guide you step by step through the process.

How quickly can a rental be shipped or ready for pick up?

We carry an extensive line of stud welding rental equipment. Generally, we can have rental equipment ready to go very quickly. Call for availability, 1-800-462-9353, 713-939-8903.

Do you offer rental equipment outside the Houston, TX area?

Yes. We have shipped rental equipment throughout the United States. The welder must be packed securely to protect the rental equipment. We prefer to use motor freight for shipment except in certain circumstances.

Do I need to put down a deposit?

Payment is determined by whether you have credit established with Sunbelt Stud Welding, Inc. If you are on open credit, our terms are Net 30 Days. If you do not have open credit with us, then we will accept credit cards, checks or ACH payments before shipment.

Does a rental need insurance?

All equipment rented requires a signed "Rental Equipment Agreement" prior to shipment. This agreement details the terms of the rental, including insurance against loss or damage.
