Insulation Stud Welding Supplies

Most stud welding suppliers will have your average selection of Arc, CD, and Refractory pins and studs. Despite the high demand, only a handful of companies carry insulation studs. Sunbelt Stud Welding is your one stop shop for fasteners, studs, and insulation studs. If we don’t have what you need, we have the capabilities to design and manufacture a stud for your specific application. Below are a few of the insulation studs we carry. Insulation Weld Pins

These studs come in standard (CD), conical tip (CD), double pointed (Arc), and “sure-fire” (CD) designs. The diameter and material of each stud needs to specified in your order.

Cup Head Pins

Cup head pins

The standard cup head pin is a CD stud whose pin is copper plated. A Washer is attached to the pin. It can be customized to weld through foil-faced insulation. Diameters vary between .080 – .135.
On the other hand, the CS-9 comes in one diameter and length: .135 by 3/8 inches. This cup head pin is used with DuroDyne auto feed welding resistance equipment.

Insulation Anchors

We offer a non-metal anchor made from one piece of nylon. It uses adhesive and can handle insulation up to 2 inches thick. The washer for this anchor is the WCN K120 BY 5/32-NY, part no. 031-0804-13.

The metal anchors include the prong, spindle, self-stick, threaded bolt, and annular ring bolt designs. Each can be customized through special order.

Stud Welding Washers, Caps, and Nuts

Washers: We carry a variety of washers for different pins and anchors. Some of our standard washers include square self-locking washer, round self-locking washer, Lok refractory anchor, keyhole slotted washer, inslutwist Lok cup refractory anchor, prong washer, capped speed washer, and the lacing washer and ring.

Caps and Nuts: The most common caps and nuts include panel caps and nuts, annular groove caps, annular ring cap, and hex nuts.
