The permanent attachment of insulation to construction metal surfaces is simplified through the use of CD Weld Stud Pins.
The installation of insulation with a stud welding system is achieved by first welding a pin onto the base metal of steel, aluminum, brass or other metal alloy. Next, the insulation is hung on to the pins and a washer is pressed into place to secure the insulation.
Examples of weld pin gage include diameters such as:
Lengths for weld pins start at 3/4” and up to 12” with respect to the diameter requirements.
Self locking washers are used in conjunction with weld pins to securely hold insulation in place against the base metal.
Steel and alloy weld pins and washers are available in aluminum, mild steel and stainless steel.
The diameters of washers range from 1” thru 2 1/2”.
